System Parameter Access Permissions

Microsoft operating system environments require enabling Full Control for Users when accessing and sharing data tables, manuals, and remote (offline) processing. The function performed by the User Logon program is to read, check, and update key system parameters that affect data table sharing (Opportunistic Locking). If any of these parameters cannot be accessed, the following message appears and you will not be able to logon.

These access permissions can be enabled by the system administrator through the system's registry. At the search enter REGEDIT and right-click on Registry Editor and choose to Run as Administrator.

Once in the Registry, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer.  Right-click on Lanmanserver and choose Permissions and change Users to Full Control. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MRxSmb\.

Right-click on MRXsmb and choose Permissions and change Users to Full Control.

WARNING:

Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to re-install Windows to correct them. SLICE cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.
